The Saghe Talaie Index (STI) is a fun and informal way to track the price of the Saghe Talaie biscuit, aimed at measuring the annual inflation rate. It helps us understand purchasing power and the local economy in Iran better.

Currently, the price of a classic 200-gram Saghe Talaie pack (as shown in the picture above) is 20,000 Tomans, making a 25% increase compared to the same period last year.
How many Saghe Talaies can you buy with the minimum wage?
The Saghe Talaie Purchasing Power (STPP) is calculated by dividing the minimum monthly wage, as approved by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of Iran, by the price of one pack of Saghe Talaie.
